A Thank You From Arizona Progress & Gazette

We don’t like to brag about ourselves too much, but every once in a while we need to take a victory lap and remind you, the readers, of what you’ve meant to this blog.

What started as a simple venue to give our thoughts about local politics, a humble little blog, has turned into something significant. Last year we had over 112,000 unique readers within the United States, about 75% of which were in Arizona.

So what about this year? We’re already off to an even stronger start with over 25,000 unique readers as of the time of writing in 2024.

So what can you expect this year? It’s an election year, so you will see plenty of commentary regarding local races, as well as the balance of power within Arizona. We will be highlighting various races and candidates, missteps, and highlights of rising stars.

Of course, we will continue our focus on local issues that aren’t directly related to politics. Scottsdale and Paradise Valley provide plenty of content; news, events, venues, people.

And there are a couple extremely significant local issues which will likely come to a head this year: Axon’s attempt to shoehorn thousands of apartments into North Scottsdale and the attempts to extend and repurpose a sales tax for the McDowell Sonoran Preserve come to mind.

So thank you for reading, and we hope that you continue to read in 2024. Please share our content with your friends and let us know what you’d like to see this year!
