Is your family scrambling to come into town for the holidays? Are you always the one to host your relatives from Chicago or New York for Thanksgiving? Well now we have actual data to back up why you’re always the one who has to do all the work for Thanksgiving.

According to a recent study done by WalletHub, Scottsdale is one of the most desirable places to be for Thanksgiving. Scottsdale is just behind second-place Orlando, and both trail Atlanta, the King of Thanksgiving Destinations.

In the study, WalletHub used five factors in its methodology: 1) Thanksgiving Celebrations & Traditions, 2) Affordability, 3) Safety & Accessibility, 4) Giving Thanks and 5) Thanksgiving Weather Forecast. While some of them seem rather subjective, we certainly agree with Scottsdale’s safety and accessibility, and while it is still a little hot for our preference, the weather forecast should be much more pleasant by Turkey Day. Affordability, well…perhaps that’s why we’re in third place.

For those who are curious, in dead last place in San Bernadino, which should come as no surprise to anyone who has spent any amount of time there recently.

Other interesting findings: did you know that both Gilbert and Tucson are tied for the most pumpkin patches out of any city that was studied? On the negative end, Phoenix has the second least Thanksgiving events per capita than any other city, one step above Los Angeles (hey, we beat them at something!).

So when you give your thanks around the table with your loved ones, take a moment to be thankful that you live in Scottsdale, one of the best cities in the world. Take that, Los Angeles!
