Tempe-Based PROSHRED® Arizona Hosts Upcoming Shredding Events and Discusses Importance of Destroying Old Hard Drives

Shredding junk mail and electronics has never been more important and thanks to the local, family-owned business PROSHRED® Arizona, an on-site and mobile document shredding service, they are making it easier than ever with three upcoming shredding events at their Tempe location.

Owned by Valley residents Patty and Joe Caradonna, along with their son Joey Caradonna Jr., ProShred Arizona services customers from Flagstaff to Tucson and everywhere in between. While their trucks also go directly to clients throughout the state for their shredding needs, the Caradonna family is hosting additional shredding events at their facility for any local residents.

The public is invited to come out on the following Saturdays; Sept 21st, Oct. 19th and Nov. 16th for Shred Saturdays at PROSHRED Arizona from 9am to 12 noon, where they can shred papers for just $5 per box. PROSHRED Arizona is located at 624 S. Perry Lane Suite 102 Tempe, AZ 85288.

When it comes to other services, ProShred Arizona also encourages Valley residents to bring not just paper and discarded mail, but also old electronics as well, which includes hard drives, SSD (Solid State Drive), smaller hard drives, computer towers, and backup tapes for surveillance/security that go into servers.

“We have a special machine specifically for electronics,” said Patty Caradonna, co-owner of ProShred Arizona. “People think they can smash electronics with a sledge hammer then throw it out, but this will not wipe out all the information.”

When it comes to phones and Apple Watches, Caradonna recommends bringing those to your cellular provider for proper disposal.

ProShred Arizona will also be participating in additional shredding events in Anthem, Mesa and Cave Creek in the following months.
