Dear Neighbors,

As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to thank everyone who voted for me in the November general election. I am honored to be re-elected, and I am humbled by your support. I look forward to serving the interests of everyone in District 2 for the next four years.

I also thank everyone who contributes to making our community a wonderful place to live. From volunteers at local shelters to those helping neighbors in need, your kindness makes a lasting impact. Thank you for your continued support, and I wish you and your loved ones a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving.

Channel 3 TV Interview

This week I unveiled my proposals to speed up the ballot tabulation process in Arizona’s elections. Under my “95/1” Plan, ninety five percent of all ballots should be tabulated by election night. In my proposal, I advocate for:

  • Establish a Cut Off Date for Early Ballot Drop Offs
  • Use Government Buildings to Host Polling Sites
  • Eliminate Emergency Voting for Saturday and Monday Before Election Day and Allow Anyone to Utilize In-Person Voting

My ideas outlined below can significantly speed up the process. I urge Governor Hobbs to work with the Arizona Legislature to make my “95/1 Plan” a top priority in 2025. Arizona voters and election workers deserve this reform.

Mesa: Tour of EVIT

Recently, I had the opportunity to tour the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) apprenticeship programs, as well as HopeTech foster housing, a program we proudly supported with a recent investment. EVIT’s apprenticeship programs are truly inspiring, offering high school and postsecondary students hands-on training and real-world experience in various trades and professions. I was very impressed to see how these dedicated students are building strong foundations for their futures.

Mesa: A New Leaf Splash Pad Improvements

My office recently invested $108,000 of Community Solutions Funding into splash pad improvements at A New Leaf’s La Mesita Apartments for low-income individuals and families. La Mesita houses approximately 500 individuals each year who are struggling with housing insecurity, and nearly half are children and youth.
