Local Business, Local Backing: Scottsdale Community Bank Helps Local Entrepreneur Expand Luxury Interior Design Brand, Launch Second City Location

Facing a booming client base and growing demand for high-end home furnishings, THE BAZAAR partnered with esteemed Italian design company Molteni&C to open a second Scottsdale location this year, marking a major milestone for the women-owned business helmed by Paradise Valley resident Jennifer Wilson. Known for curating the best of European modern design, Wilson self-funded the buildout of her new, 3,000-square-foot Molteni&C mono-brand showroom space in Scottsdale. She then secured a line of credit to create a financial cushion while the expanded showroom space ramps up and revenue from larger projects starts rolling in.

Wilson, an Arizona native and a full-time single mom, launched THE BAZAAR in 2019. She brings more than a decade of home design expertise to the industry, giving clients across the Southwest easy access to premium European brands and full-service design support from conception to completion. She collaborated closely with Scottsdale Community Bank on her business’s second location just steps from the original BAZAAR, creating a central hub
for contemporary design with help from the financial partner known for supporting small businesses, understanding the local landscape, and keeping more capital circulating at the local level.

As business grew, so, too, did the need to enhance THE BAZAAR’s existing portfolio to encompass all aspects of high-end contemporary home design. This prompted Wilson to forgo working with a national lender in favor of finding a community-focused financial partner with a firm understanding of the local market.

“Scottsdale Community Bank offered a human touch you don’t always get from larger, national lenders,” said Wilson. “Senior Lending Officer Victor Alonzo was there to answer every phone call, and he even came out to see both of my locations in person. They took a lot of stress off of me while getting the new business off the ground.”

With Scottsdale Community Bank’s support, Wilson expanded her growing business empire to include Molteni&C’s exquisitely crafted modular lifestyle solutions and furnishings with confidence and flexibility, and without putting her personal assets on the line.

“Jennifer is a prime example of who we’re proud to support,” said Alonzo, who also serves as Scottsdale Community Bank’s Senior Vice President. “She puts her heart and soul into every aspect of her business, and it’s a privilege to play even a small part in seeing it grow and expand across Scottsdale.”

Wilson is now looking ahead to expanding outside of Arizona to accommodate increased interest in Europe’s most luxurious home brands, including Molteni&C, Porro, Minotti, Flexform and Paola Lenti, among others. As demand grows, so does her network of collaborators, among them architects, interior designers and others who help bring these brands to life for her end clients – the homeowners.

With her second Scottsdale location now open and thriving, THE BAZAAR joins a growing number of local entities working with Scottsdale Community Bank, the state’s first new community bank to open in more than a decade. Designed as a one-stop resource for the best in contemporary design and backed by a partner that places the same value on personal relationships that it does results, Wilson continues to build a business as rooted in community as it is in impactful design.
