Join Changing Hands Book Store in Tempe for A Book Signing and Reading of the “Surf Noir” Collection including Pulitzer Prize finalists and Edgar and Shamus Award winners This Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7pm

This Thursday evening join Author David M. Olsen and Tempe Resident and Author Jeff Kronenfeld for a special book signing of Amber Waves of Autumn at Changing Hands Bookstore (6428 S McClintock Dr, Tempe, AZ 85283) on Thursday, November 14th at 7:00 pm.

This is the third installment of Kelp Journal’s bestselling, award-winning Beach Noir Series.

Amber Waves of Autumn is an anthology or collection of short stories by several authors, including Kronenfeld, Olsen, Joyce Carol Oates, Lawrence Block, and several others.

Kronenfeld’s story Drift chronicles a beach bum as he runs from a mysterious criminal past, where he and his canine best friend battle a wanna-be shaman for the right to ride an epic wave.

This installment includes National Book Award winners, Edgar and Shamus Award winners, and NYT Bestsellers, such as Joyce Carol Oates, Lawrence Block, Bev Vincent, Nik Xandir Wolf, and many more distinguished writers, including Kronenfeld, who is an award-winning journalist, screenwriter, comic writer, and fiction writer who is the assistant editor for the Arizona Capitol Times. Kronenfeld also leads comic-making workshops for the incarcerated.

Kronenfeld and the book’s editor, David M. Olsen, will be hosting Thursday night’s event.

“It might sound silly, but after my dog died following a drawn-out illness, I was wrecked. I adopted him when I was 18 and he journeyed wide and far with me during my youthful wanderings, seeing mountains, forests and two oceans,” said Kronenfeld. “I wrote this story to honor his memory and as a form of catharsis, and I hope that feeling can help others who’ve lost someone close to them.”
