Guest Editorial: Post-Election Results

By Mayor-Elect Mark Stanton

With the official results of the 2024 election confirmed, I humbly thank the residents of Paradise Valley for their vote of confidence in electing me to be the next Mayor of our Town.

I appreciate former Councilmember Mary Hamway and current Councilmember Anna Thomasson for our mutually respectful campaigns.  Both Mary and Anna are extremely dedicated community leaders who are committed to the best future of Paradise Valley.

In addition, I am grateful for the on-going leadership of Mayor Jerry Bien-Willner as he concludes his term as our current Mayor.  Mayor Bien-Willner is a true public servant, and I am thankful for his leadership, friendship, and steadfast service to our residents.

For the thousands of Paradise Valley residents that voted, I truly appreciate the great turnout by our Town residents in this election.  The fact that nearly 90% of registered voters in Paradise Valley went to the polls speaks volumes about their commitment to keeping Paradise Valley such a remarkable community.  Our Town is strong, and we will continue to work together to preserve the quality of life that we all enjoy.

I look forward to continuing to serve all our citizens and collaborating with my fellow Council Members, our residents, and our professional staff.

Mark Stanton, Mayor-Elect

Town of Paradise Valley
