George Khalaf Is the Rare Kind Worth Rooting For

Let me tell you what usually happens in a Republican primary these days. A candidate finds the nearest camera, praises the man in the White House, and calls it a platform. Then they win, arrive at the Capitol, and contribute nothing. George Khalaf is not that guy.

Khalaf just topped the field in the LD3 House primary, and he did it the honest way. In a district this red, the primary is the whole ballgame. Consequently, he is bound for the state legislature. That is good news for anyone who still believes conservatism means something.

A Conservative Who Actually Knows What That Means

Here is the thing about Khalaf…he understands conservatism as a governing philosophy, not a hashtag. He talks about cost of living, housing, and healthcare in concrete terms. Meanwhile, too many of his peers just parrot whatever generates the easiest engagement online.

That distinction matters more than ever. Principles require homework, and cynics rarely bother. Khalaf bothers. In fact, he built an entire career on getting the facts right.
