Arizona’s Most Decorated Interior Designer Anita Lang Takes Giving Back to the Next Level

A newly appointed Board Member for Artlink and Founder of The Inspire Foundation, Lang has taken her love of design to the arts and beyond

Renowned Interior Designer Anita Lang, founder of IMI Design Studio, has been masterfully and playfully transforming, creating and crafting interior spaces inArizona and around the country for nearly 28 years. During that time Lang she has earned a reputation of distinction and excellence with her work being awarded over 115 design excellence awards by (ASID) the American Society of Interior Designers.

It is in that same spirit that Lang is also driven to do her part for human kind, giving back to some of Arizona’s most
mostimpactful causes, including to the one-n-ten Foundation which has a special place in Lang’s heart. Its signature event Fresh Brunch benefits LGBTQ Youth and just set a record for the largest plated charity event in Arizona’s history.The organizationraised more $1.3 million and Lang was able to be part of that extraordinary moment when her donated “Room with Heart” auction item fetched $22,000.

Lang donated her and her design teams services as part of a comprehensive interior design package which assembled customizable donations from the luxury craftsmen, talented artisans and premium furniture showrooms that aid her in creating some of the most astounding interiors in The Valley.“Fresh Brunch was one of the most colorful and joyful assembly of people I have seen at an event,” said Lang. “I am so proud to be part of this amazing event and to know that this significant donation will make a lasting impact on the organization and directly benefit our LGBTQ Youth.

In addition to her contributions to one-n-ten, Lang was also recently appointed Board Member to Artlink, the non-profit credited with establishing downtown Phoenix’s amazing First Fridays and the organization responsible for connecting artists and businesses to the community.No stranger to giving, in 2010 Lang also founded her own non-profit, The Inspire Foundation, which has been a passion project for the renowned interior designer, who believes life is guided best by not what you receive but what you give.“I truly believe interior design – just like art, music and the written word – has the power to elevate the human spirit and that’s why I continue to donate design to community organizations in need. I love working with students who are aspiring interior designers and helping women and children who are in distressed situations,” she said.

Lang has also served as a board member for The Walter Hive for the past 6 years and has been proud to donate additional design packages.Other causes near and dear to Lang’s heart include the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts, where she chaired the Artrageous Gala in 2022, The Southwest Center, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Phoenix Children’s HospitalFoundation,Foundation for Blind Children, Sunshine Acres, WINGS, International Alliance for the Prevention of Aids, and Phoenix Art Museum, to name a few.
