Dear Mayor Lane, Jim Thompson and Chief Rodbell:
There are a multitude of unanswered questions swarming about. It will take time to sort it all out and get to the bottom to determine where the accountability lies ( or not ).
I understand that this melee was unprecedented, I understand that there was very little time to assess but I also understand that it appears that the mall was forewarned, corporate was forewarned, but there were many of us small business owners that found out not by our city but by a Tweet that was circulating!
Are we not owed the same consideration to be warned of impending danger to act accordingly to protect our very lives and property? The city has an entire email list of hundreds if not thousands of businesses across the city!
Why was there not a precautionary email blast sent out to the community?
Why were some afforded the protection while the rest of us were led to fend for ourselves??
