By Elect Bolick for Arizona
As you may know, we won the Legislative District 28 (LD 28) House primary. Thank you to all of our supporters, volunteers, endorsers, and donors. Without you our win would not have been possible.
The general election battle is tough, but winnable. LD 28 is the only Arizona legislative district carried by Mitt Romney that is represented by a Democrat. The Democratic incumbent barely edged out the Republican nominee two years ago.
Where the Democrat has the edge is cash on hand. While I had a tough primary, he faced no opponent. I saved a significant amount for the general election, but our opponent starts with a 3-1 money edge. We need to replenish our campaign funds to win -- and quickly, given the short time remaining between now and Election Day on Tuesday, November 4th.
The policy differences between myself and our Democratic opponent are stark. He opposes all forms of school choice, while I support it passionately. He is a reliable vote for higher taxes and bigger government; I oppose both. He even voted against Right to Try, which would give terminally ill patients the right to access drugs through their physicians that could save or extend their lives.Read more
Shawnna Bolick received Congressman David Schweikert’s endorsement for the Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 28.
“Shawnna Bolick is exactly what Legislative District 28 needs,” stated Congressman Schweikert. “Shawnna is principled, articulate and an advocate for education and a balanced budget. She cares about people, as reflected recently when she helped neighbors navigate the Veterans Administration. I am proud to endorse Shawnna as a fighter for taxpayers.”
“I am honored to have the endorsement of my sitting congressman,” exclaimed Bolick. “Like Congressman Schweikert I want to reduce the size and role government play in our everyday lives. I look forward to finding common sense solutions while helping Congressman Schweikert put a halt on government mandates as we unleash a pro-growth agenda at both levels of government.”Read more
Today, I am proud to announce one of the biggest endorsements of our campaign: U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, of Texas.
Please join us both for a tele-townhall tomorrow night at 7:15 by making a toll-free call to 877-229-8493, Pin: 112568.
Senator Cruz has been one of the most outspoken reformers of government at the national level. As the representative of another border state, the Senator knows just how critical that issue is. And he brings the same toughness standing up to Barack Obama that I will as Arizona's next governor.
Senator Cruz said of our campaign:
"The crisis at America’s border is a defining issue in the coming election, especially in Arizona. I'm supporting Doug Ducey for Arizona governor because he is the best candidate to help secure the border, protect the people, and enforce the law. He has the most serious and credible plan to address the border crisis.
PHOENIX (July 28, 2014) – Lawyer-lobbyist Christine Jones famously calls herself an “unapologetic conservative,” but her background says otherwise.
During the 2008-2012 election cycles, Jones donated nearly $6,000 to Democrat candidates running for Congress. She also gave $30,000 to the GoDaddy PAC, which in turn donated more than $81,000 to 23 Democratic Senate and House candidates over the same time frame.
“Apparently, it’s not enough for lawyer-lobbyist Christine Jones to mislead voters on her resume and border security plan, she’s also deceiving them about her so-called ‘conservative’ credentials,” said Melissa DeLaney, spokesperson for the Ducey campaign. “Christine Jones has donated thousands of dollars to liberal Democrats and she still calls herself ‘unapologetic?’ It would be laughable if it weren’t so alarming. If she doesn't apologize to true conservatives for her lies and deliberate attempts to mislead Arizona voters, then I guess she really is a phony.”
PHONY JONES IN HER OWN WORDS & ACTIONS
Calls herself an “unapologetic conservative”
“I’m an unapologetic conservative, and that’s the way I’ll lead”
But Jones directly donated $5,700 to three Democrats running for congress:

• Voted YES on Obamacare
• Voted NO on prohibiting minors from crossing state lines for abortion
• Voted YES on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security
• Voted NO on reducing federal overall spending by $40B
• Voted NO on permanently repealing the `death tax`
• Voted NO on restricting class-action lawsuits

• Rated 100% by NARAL, indicating a pro-choice voting record
• Voted YES on cap & trade (American Clean Energy & Security Act)
• Voted NO on banning physician-assisted suicide
• Mary Kim Titla, U.S. House (Arizona) -- $1,000
Arizona is worth Fighting For.

Fight for a conservative majority in 2014
We need your help. If everyone who opens this email donates just $20 we can impact this primary season in a way never before seen in Arizona. The Alliance of Principled Conservatives has never wavered from our mission of stopping the Obama-Progressive-Liberal agenda in Arizona. We defined the Brewercrats. We called OBrewercare. And we have worked across this State emboldening the Grassroots and the Alliance has the attention of the opposition.
Your donation will make a difference because the Alliance knows how to deliver hard-hitting campaigns.
We are being heard - we do NOT want Obamacare.
We started the Tea Party because we do NOT want Obamacare.
AZ legislative districts passed resolutions across the entire state saying 'we do NOT want Obamacare.'
We now have primaries against the majority of the LegisTraitors because we do NOT want Obamacare.
When the AZ Central wants information about the 2014 elections they go to the Alliance. This article shows that the same people who worked to oppose our referendum efforts are now working to keep the LegisTraitors.
Help us to stop them.
Arizona is worth fighting for.

Yesterday, about 100-150 protesters on each side - supporting and opposing the arrival of 40-60 unaccompanied juveniles from Central America being flown to Arizona - gathered in Oracle. These juveniles are arriving on our doorstep compliments of President Obama. The plan is for them to be indefinitely housed at a group home in Oracle.
Let me make something very clear: We have enough problems with the drug cartels and illegals in Arizona and don't need additional illegals sent to us by President Obama.
The federal government is completely out-of-control, and we need to hold them accountable. We need to raise $5,000 in the next five days to have the resources necessary to share the news of what’s really happening at our border with fellow patriots across Arizona and the nation. Will you donate $250, $100, $50, or more to help us reach that goal?
For weeks, the Obama Administration and their allies have fumbled with their immigration rhetoric. Promises of amnesty and open borders have gotten us to this point, and now the liberals in Washington, D.C. want to run away from this problem that they created.
We can’t let them off that easy.
Another GOP Governor Endorses
A few months ago, my campaign was endorsed by a conservative reformer, Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin. Today, I'm proud to announce another Republican governor is supporting my campaign: Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana. Here's what he had to say:
“Doug Ducey has a proven track record of standing up for our conservative values and has a clear vision to grow Arizona’s economy, reduce taxes and promote true educational opportunity and reform for all. We need a committed conservative as Arizona’s next governor. That is why I am proud to endorse Doug Ducey for Governor.”
Please join Governor Pence in supporting my candidacy by liking and sharing his statement of support on my Facebook page, "retweeting" my statement on Twitter and forwarding this email to friends and family using the icons below.
Thank you for your continued support!

Dear Fellow American,
A third party group has released poll numbers for several statewide contests in Arizona and our race was part of their survey.
I am only 4 points behind Mr. Huppenthal but 42% of voters are still undecided. I received 27% support and Huppenthal received 31%.
We have not spent any money on advertising and we are only a few points away from someone who has been in government for 30 years - we can win this race!
The other bright spot from the poll was that 63% of voters agree with us that Common Core must be stopped. Only 15% of respondents support Common Core. That means once we get our message out to the voters, they are inclined to support us on our main issues by a 4 to 1 advantage.Read more
Noted anti-establishment reformer and Arizona native, U.S. Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, endorsed my campaign for governor. Here's what he had to say:
“America needs strong leaders who are willing to stand up for conservative ideas and values at every level of government. It takes real leadership to stand up to special interests and push for conservative reforms. Doug Ducey is one of those leaders and that is why I am proud to endorse his candidacy for Governor of Arizona.
"Doug has shown courage, vision and leadership on a wide range of issues. He fought relentlessly against tax increases and is committed to shrinking the size and cost of government while eliminating privileges for special interests. Leadership is what leadership does, and what Doug has done as a leader has earned conservatives' respect and earned our support.
"His commitment to conservatism, his background growing a small ice cream company to a nationally recognized brand and his record defending Arizona taxpayers make him well suited to lead Arizona for the next four years. I believe that conservative governors like Doug Ducey will lead the way towards a stronger, more prosperous America.”
State Treasurer Doug Ducey, conservative candidate for Arizona governor and former CEO of Cold Stone Creamery, today announced that Sen. Al Melvin has endorsed his candidacy for governor. Until recently, Sen. Melvin was also a gubernatorial candidate “I ran for governor because Arizona needs a strong conservative to lead our great state. While my campaign has ended, my fight for conservative values continues,” Sen. Melvin said. “When I withdrew from the race I made it clear that I had no intention of playing spoiler or of even accidentally helping to elect a liberal Governor. I would put my shoulder to the wheel to elect the best possible conservative candidate.
“That is why I am endorsing Doug Ducey for governor. After traveling our state and sharing the stage with so many of our fine candidates, I am confident that Doug is the very best choice for conservative voters,” Sen. Melvin continued. “His background in the private sector, his work as state treasurer, and his fidelity to the principles upon which our country and party were founded separate him from the other candidates.
“I have also been impressed by his grasp of the issues concerning Southern Arizona, which, as you can imagine, is very near and dear to my heart,” Sen. Melvin concluded. “With our state and nation at a tipping point, Arizona conservatives cannot afford to divide themselves into so many camps that we end up losing at the ballot box. I am voting for Doug Ducey to be our next governor and I encourage every Arizonan to join me."
“I am grateful to receive Senator Melvin’s endorsement today,” Ducey said. “The Senator is a man of strong character, a consummate gentleman and a consistent conservative. I am proud to call him my friend and am humbled to have his support.”Read more
