James “The Ragin’ Cajun” Carville is one of America’s best-known Democratic political consultants. Currently he is a contributor to This Week with George Stephanopoulos and is known as a best-selling author, actor, producer, talk-show host, speaker and restauranteur. Carville has managed numerous successful campaigns throughout his career, most notably President Bill Clinton’s campaign in 1992. Recently, Carville has shifted his focus to political campaigns in over 23 countries worldwide and also created the Democracy Corps, a non-profit polling organization dedicated to making government more responsive to the needs of American citizens. He also serves as a Professor of Practice at Tulane University in New Orleans.
Mary Matalin is one of the most popular conservative voices in the U.S. as a best-selling author, TV and radio host, and political contributor. Matalin has served under President Ronald Reagan, was George H.W. Bush’s Campaign director and most recently served as an assistant to President George W. Bush, and as assistant and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney – making her the first White House official to hold that double title. She currently sits on multiple boards of institutions across the country including Tulane University’s President’s Council, The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, The Water Institute of the Gulf and The Louisiana Nature Conservancy.  Matalin was also appointed a visiting distinguished lecturer in political science at Loyola University New Orleans.
